Our school day

8:50pm
·        The teachers open the classroom door and children can come in ready to start their morning task.
10:30pm – 10:50pm
·        We have playtime. We can take our fruit from home or school fruit outside to eat. If the weather is bad we stay inside with wet playtime games or a story.
12:00pm - 1:00pm
·        We have our lunch in the Upper School Hall. Children who bring packed lunches and children who have school dinners all sit together. After we have eaten we can go out to play.
2:15pm – 2:30pm
·        We have another playtime.
3:30pm
·        It’s time to go home.

Wet Playtimes

If it is raining at playtime the teacher who is on duty will take us into the hall to play games or read a story. We can still eat our fruit. Sometimes we stay in our classroom with Miss Gaynor.

If it is raining at lunchtime we go into the hall with lunchtime supervisors, who get out all the ‘rainy day’ toys and games and we all find something we would like to play with.

Sometimes if it is drizzling a little we still like to go out to play, so don’t forget to bring your coat to school every day.

Rewards
Stickers
We can earn these for anything, also especially for being ‘green all week’ which earns you two stickers.
20 stickers – Bronze Certificate
40 stickers – Silver Certificate
60 stickers – Gold Certificate
80 stickers – Deputy Head Certificate
100 stickers – Head Teachers Certificate
120 stickers – Governors Certificate
Team Points
Any member of staff might give us a team point if they catch us doing something good. The whole school is divided up into four teams. They are called Callister, Blackmoor, Woodacre and Hetchell. We put our team points on a chart and they are counted up each week. The team that gets the most points over half term is allowed to a non-uniform day.
Behaviour Diamond
We have a ‘behaviour diamond’ in our classroom that shows the rewards and sanctions that we have in school.
Traffic Lights
In every classroom there is a set of ‘traffic lights’ on the wall. All children start on green and as long as we behave well we will stay there. Children will be given their ‘first warning’ before being moved to amber. A second warning will result in being moved to amber. A third warning will result in being moved to red. The red represents minutes of ‘Golden Time’ lost.
Golden Time
Golden Time is on Friday afternoon before assembly. We can choose to join a fun activity such as a craft, sport, gardening or baking club. We can choose to go to the same club each week or a different one.
